Hosting Sync framework service in Azure Cloud

Oct 30, 2014 at 6:58 PM
Hello,

I have created a Service using the sync framework toolkit and I have followed the instrucions in the framework documentation in order to deploy the service in azure.

The problem is that while the framework work fine locally when I deploy to azure when I start a sync I get end Sync immediatly after the first download changes.

I do not know what is happening in azure because I do not receive any exception back.

I followed litterally the walkthough of the documentation is there something else I need to do?

Thanks Best Regards

To be more specific,I have created a service to sync an SQL database using your example Fabrickam and SQLite (client side) after having some problems I got everything working and now I was trying to deploy the service in Azure cloud.

I have followed the instruction on the documentation of the Sync framework toolkit and I have deployed on Azure.

The service is active in the portal but when I run the sync I get this on the debug log

the Sync ends immediately but I do not know really why.

Am I missing something in the configuration of the service in Azure?
Do I have to do something else?

Please I am really stuck on this and I do not find any documentation on how to resolve this.

Thanks very much

Sorry I forgot to say I am deploying the Service as WebRole in Azure (Not a web site) and I know web roles have a Virtual machine do you think this would be a problem?

My main doub is that I am not getting any excheption. It look like symply the Sync framewrok does not see any changes between the DBs...

I hope this ca help to understand better my situation.

Regards
